Engagement and Compliance at PSC

The Potomac State College Office of Engagement and Compliance is charged with maintaining a safe and vibrant campus culture adhering to the state and federal guidelines which keep our students, faculty and staff safe.

Potomac State College is dedicated to fostering curiosity, innovation and a passion for learning. With those goals in mind, the Potomac State College Office of Engagement and Compliance ensures our campus fulfills the needs of our Catamount community while adhering to federal and state guidelines. Our work focuses primarily on:

  • Developing programming focused on Titles VI, VII and IX, the Americans with Disabilities Act and youth protection
  • Developing advocates through training, presentations and facilitated dialogues
  • Educating about the prevention of sexual violence, power-based personal violence, and harassment
  • Supporting campus and community partners in complying various federal, state and institutional laws and policies
  • Collaborating with others on campus to understand campus climate, track changes based on our interventions and develop more effective outreach
  • Work with units hosting youth programming to develop guidelines, documents and trainings to enhance youth protection
  • Providing resources to protect the civil rights of each individual
